Tollesbury Salt Meadows Approved!

Tollesbury Salt Meadows Approved!
We are delighted to announce that our plans to build 25 homes in Tollesbury for local older people have been approved! The first of its kind in the UK, the small community of specialist properties (mainly bungalows), will combine specialist design, renewable technology and therapeutic gardens to support the long-term health and wellbeing of local people aged 60+.

Local firm Hardy-King Estate Agents will be managing the sale of the homes, which are scheduled to become available in Spring next year and will be marketed off plan. There will also be 8 Affordable Rent homes within the scheme, which will be available via the local housing register, as well as 4 Shared Equity homes, ensuring that Salt Meadows is accessible to those who need it most.
As a B-Corporation, Lewis & Scott is committed to following ethical principles in everything we do, which includes a care for the environment. Tollesbury Salt Meadows has been engineered to harness the latest renewable technology, with the added benefit of ensuring minimal running costs for residents. In the face of rising energy costs this has never been more important, and provides another layer of security for future residents.

It just remains to say thank you to everyone who has supported this project – we believe the housing market needs to change and Tollesbury Salt Meadows will demonstrate what can be achieved when people work together. Already this scheme is being put forward for architectural and landscaping awards and represents a step-change in the quality of specialist housing. We’ll keep you posted as construction begins and Tollesbury Salt meadows takes shape.
